Dr. Gelsy Calvo, DMD
Dr. Gelsy Calvo earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2010 from the University of Cienfuegos, Cuba. After moving to USA with her family, she decided to go back to dental school earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine diploma with high honors from the prestigious University of Puerto Rico, School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Calvo places great importance on continuing education and ensures she is up to date with current treatment concepts and technology so she can provide optimum care.
Dr. Calvo is so excited to be part of Avila Dental family and working on this community. She strives to provide the highest quality care possible by taking time to build trust with her patients and their families.
In her spare time, Dr. Calvo enjoys shopping, traveling and spending time with her dogs.
She looks forward to serving you and your family!

Dr. Vivian Castellanos, DMD
Vivian Castellanos, DMD is a Chicago native, growing up in the Portage Park neighborhood in the Northwest side of Chicago. She graduated from Trinity High School in River Forest as a three-sport athlete. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Community Health and Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (U of I) and was recruited to play D1 softball for the school. During her time at U of I, she was Vice President of the University’s Pre-Dental Club and was heavily involved in volunteering
Dr. Vivian Castellanos, DMD

During her last two years she also worked as a Dental Lab Technician. Upon graduating, Dr. Vivian returned to her original stomping grounds (Chicago!) and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for her doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD).

Dr. Vivian deeply values the rapport and trust that she cultivates with her patients, and sees it as a top priority to address her patients’ dental treatment with honesty and integrity. Through thorough patient education and great attention to detail, she seeks to restore teeth to proper form and function while still managing to achieve delivery of quality, customized care for each of her patients. She feels confident and passionate about all aspects of restorative dentistry with an additional affinity for digital dentistry and esthetic ceramic treatment options for her patients. Dr. Vivian is dedicated to going above and beyond for her patients and is actively pursuing advanced education in CAD/CAM digital dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and implant placements and restorations.
In her free time, Dr. Vivian enjoys exploring new Latin cuisines throughout the city, spending time with her family, friends and fiancé, Steve, working out, teaching Zumba, and watching and playing sports!
